The New England Conservatorium of Music is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The skill-based Board includes representation from regional stakeholders and the local community, including affiliated members the Armidale Music Teachers Association (AMTA), Armidale Symphony Orchestra (ASO), and the Armidale Youth Orchestras Association (AYO).

Program Manager, Corinne Arter
Corinne Arter originally came to Armidale to study music at UNE after hearing the New England Ensemble perform in Verbruggen Hall at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
After teaching music at PLC, Armidale for one year she moved to Sydney and taught in various schools before becoming the Head of Music at St. Catherine's Waverley in 1993. Here, she built a highly successful and innovative department with a focus on Australian music.
She has extensive experience in music education as a writer of the HSC Music 2 and Extension Syllabuses, a member of the HSC Exam Committee, a Senior Examiner for the HSC and a member of the HSC Music Marking Review Committee. Corinne also writes music resources for the NSW Board of Studies and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
Finance & Administration Manager, Sophie Willams
Sophie joined NECOM as Finance and Administration Manager in January 2016 after re-locating from the coast with her family to the New England. Sophie brings her qualifications in Financial Administration and her experience within arts administration, most recently with Arts Mid North Coast to the Conservatorium.
Currently completing her Bachelor of Business (Financial Management) at UNE, Sophie can also be found enjoying the great outdoors, camping and fitness. She also loves to spend time on her passions in photography and health & wellbeing.
